Deadlines and Fees
Application Deadlines
Domestic and international applicants are urged to plan ahead, apply as early as possible, and allow adequate time for review by the admissions committees. To ensure consideration for financial assistantships, students are urged to submit a completed application nine months before anticipated enrollment. Applicants should refer to graduate-admissions.utdallas.edu/degrees for additional information on specific admission deadlines for each degree program. Applications submitted after the application deadline will still be processed; however, a decision may not be reached in time for students to avoid late registration.
Domestic and international applicants should have all necessary application materials sent to the Office of Admission and Enrollment before the dates below.
Application Deadlines: Doctoral Programs
Students applying to a doctoral program should consult the program they are applying to for the specific deadline schedule that the program follows and what terms applications are considered for. Applying by the regular deadline will ensure your application is complete and ready to be reviewed for available funding opportunities.
Regular Deadlines
All application files completed by the deadline will be reviewed for admission. Applications may be accepted after the deadline for some programs if spaces remain within the upcoming cohort and will be reviewed in order by the date the application file becomes complete.
See your program for the specific deadline schedule and what terms are available.

Application Deadlines: Master’s, Certificates and Non-Degree Seeking Programs
Students applying to master’s, certificates and non-degree seeking programs should consult the program they are applying to for the deadline schedule that the program follows and what terms applications are considered for.
Late applications may be accepted after the regular application deadline for some programs, but we cannot guarantee a decision will be made in time to avoid late registration.
Students seeking appointments as Teaching Assistants or Research Assistants should contact the academic advisor for the degree program and plan for earlier application submissions.
