Graduate Application Processing
Once you have submitted your application and all supporting documents, your application file will be reviewed by the graduate program you applied to and the Office of Admission and Enrollment. After initial review, your application will be sent for departmental committee review. Once the committee has made an admission decision, you will receive both an electronic and hard copy admission letter from the Office of Admission and Enrollment.
Admitted students should check the steps after admission for their next steps. The length of time it takes to receive an admission decision varies based on when you apply and when your application file is complete. We encourage you to submit your application along with any required documents as early as possible.
Your application status will be updated to show where you are in the admission process. You can check the status of your admission decision in the Applicant Center (graduate applicants for Fall 2025 or Spring 2026 or graduate applicants for Summer and Fall 2026) or by contacting the department you applied to.
